Apply today for a student representative spot on a City Commission!
The City of Eden Prairie is accepting applications for the Students on Commissions program for the 2013-2014 school year. The program is open to any high school junior or senior (as of September 2013) who lives in Eden Prairie.
Five commissions have openings for students:
Students may apply for a 4-month term (fall term is September through December and winter/spring term is January through April) or for a combined 8-month term. The time commitment is typically one evening per month for the duration of the appointment. Students who participate in the program as juniors must reapply if they wish to serve as seniors.
Applications are due by May 24, and appointments will be made by the City Council in June. There is a required orientation session in late August or early September.
