The City of Eden Prairie coordinates several events each year to help bring our community together. From music and theater to recreational events for the whole family, our gatherings give every member of the community a reason to celebrate.

SPRING EVENTS
An Afternoon with the Bunny
This annual event at the Community Center gives children an excuse to enjoy special games, activities and an egg hunt.
Animal Open House
Held at the Outdoor Center every April, this event gives participants a chance to meet all kinds of animals including rabbits, snakes, chinchilla and more.
Arbor Day Walk
Celebrate Eden Prairie’s designation as a “Tree City USA” while enjoying a scenic walk around Staring Lake. Held at the end of April or beginning of May each year.
Arts in the Park
A daylong art fair in May at Purgatory Creek Park, featuring artwork for sale by local, juried artists. Includes entertainment, activities for kids and food vendors.
Mother/Son All Star Evening
Held in May each year, this event inspires quality time between mom and son.
Park Clean-Up Day
Typically held in April each year, Park Clean-Up Day is a great opportunity for service organizations, youth organizations and neighborhood groups to do their park in keeping Eden Prairie’ parks and trail systems clean.
SUMMER EVENTS
4th of July Hometown Celebration
It’s a “Home Town Celebration” with a variety of recreation activities, live entertainment and concessions to commemorate our country’s independence. This evening event at Round Lake Park culminates with an impressive fireworks display.
Children’s Summer Theater Workshop
The Eden Prairie Players present an annual summer theater workshop for kids, followed by five performances at the Riley-Jacques Barn in August.
KidStock Concert Series
An eight-week series of musical performances for kids at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. Annual summer event.
Movies in the Park
See a free movie under the stars! Three movie nights are held at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre in August each year.
Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie
Six area big bands perform at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre at this annual event in June.
Rocking at Round
This annual summer evening event at the newly renovated Round Lake Park features live music, food and entertainment.
Senior Center Garden Party
Live music, refreshments and friends make this annual June event a great time for area seniors. Held at the Senior Center.
Senior Center BBQ
A picnic meal and live entertainment make this an event to remember for area seniors. Held at the Senior Center in August each year.
Starring at Staring Concert Series
A variety of live musical entertainment each summer at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. The concert series features performances every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday evening, June through August.
Splash Time at Round Lake Park
This annual event offers relief from summer heat and gives kids a chance to enjoy the splash pad at Round Lake Park.
Summer Musical
The Eden Prairie Players present a popular summer musical at Staring Lake Amphitheatre each summer. Seven performances in June.
FALL EVENTS
A Collection of One Acts
The Eden Prairie Players perform one-act plays at the Riley-Jacques Barn. This annual fall event includes an appetizer and dessert buffet before the show. Seven performances.
Apple Cider-ing
Kids get the opportunity to make their very own apple cider with a wooden cider press. This event is typically held at the Outdoor Center in October of each year.
Eden Prairie Art Crawl
Annual two-day event each fall featuring the art of Eden Prairie residents in their personal home studios or at the Art Center. Art and other gift items available for sale.
Fall Festival at the Senior Center
Food, fun and fellowship make this annual Senior Center event a good time. Typically held in October.
Halloween on the Mall
A night of safe trick-or-treating at Eden Prairie Center. Annual event typically takes place the weekend before Halloween.
Spooky Saturday
Children’s event at the Community Center includes costume contests, skating, arts and crafts activities and refreshments. Annual event typically takes place the Saturday before Halloween.
Heritage Celebration
Daylong event in September to celebrate Eden Prairie’s rich heritage at the historic Riley-Jacques Farmstead. Features live entertainment, cultural and historical displays, concessions and activities for kids.
Art in Nature
This annual fall event gives kids a chance to notice and create art projects from materials found in the world around them.
WINTER EVENTS
Father and Daughter Sweetheart Dance
A chance for dads and daughters to spend quality time together, this event is typically held in The Garden Room at City Center in February of each year.
Holiday Lunch at the Senior Center
This annual celebration gives area seniors a chance to socialize and enjoy a traditional holiday meal. Held at the Senior Center each December.
Rock on Ice
Annual evening event at Round Lake Park ice skating rink in January. Includes rock ‘n’ roll music, bonfire and refreshments.
Senior Center Valentine Brunch
Seniors enjoy a catered meal and a chance to converse with friends each Valentine’s Day at the Senior Center.
Winter Theater
Annual performance by the Eden Prairie Players at the Eden Prairie High School Auditorium. Five performances in February.
