Located in south central Eden Prairie (10110 Flying Cloud Drive), this general aviation airport serves single-engine piston, twin-engine piston, turboprop and corporate turbojet aircraft. The airport is owned and operated by the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC).
With three runways, Flying Cloud is classified as a “minor” airport by the Metropolitan Council and is one of six reliever airports in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

AIRPORT EXPANSION
The FAA has issued a Record of Decision approving the expansion of Flying Cloud Airport. In 2002 the City of Eden Prairie and MAC reached an agreement whereby the City dropped its opposition to the expansion of the airport.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) completed an expansion of the airport in 2010 which included:
- Extending the north parallel runway to 3,900 feet
- Extending the south parallel runway to 5,000 feet
- New south building area, associated taxiways and vehicle driveways
- New airport lighting and various visual and navigational aids
