Where can I find a map of walking and biking trails in Eden Prairie?

Does the City set hours for trick or treating on Halloween?
A:
The City of Eden Prairie does not set hours for trick or treating on Halloween; however, families are encouraged to trick-or-treat before dusk when visibility is greater. If children are trick-or-treating after dark, they should be accompanied by an adult and reflective devices or flashlights should be used to ensure safety.
What community garden plot sizes are available?
A:

The plots available are as follows:

Pioneer Trail
Small: 20'x30'
Large: 20'x60'

Pioneer Park
Small: 20'x30'
Medium: 20'x40'

What regulations apply to park land abutting my private property lines?
A:
Vegetation cutting, clearing or planting, including mowing removing trees or shrubs; the disposal of yard waste or other vegetation including compost piles; and the placement of any irrigation system, landscaping plants, retaining walls or fencing, etc. on City property. For more information, see City Code Chapter 9.04.
Who handles snow removal on sidewalks and trails?
A:

The Park Maintenance Division is responsible for keeping sidewalks and trails free of snow.

How do I change my online program registration information or add a family member?
A:

To set up a new online registration account or to receive your account numbers, visit Eden Prairie eConnect and click "Create New Account".

How do I register for an upcoming parks and recreation program?

There are three ways to register for a Parks and Recreation program:

How can I volunteer to help clean up a City park?
A:

Every year, the City hosts a Park Clean-Up day event, typically in late April or early May. This is a great chance to grab your work gloves, bring your trash bags and help keep Eden Prairie's parks and trail systems clean. Service organizations, youth organizations and neighborhood groups are encouraged to participate.

Where can I find information about groomed ski trails in Eden Prairie?
A:
Used as an off-leash dog area during the spring, summer and fall the ski trails at Staring Lake serves as a beautiful place for cross country skiing in the winter. The trails are groomed by Eden Prairie High School after each significant snowfall and available weather permitting.

Please note: The trails are often used by the Eden Prairie High School Nordic Ski Team for both practices and ski meets.

The 700-foot Staring Lake Sledding Hill opens in December (start of school winter break) and remains open until mid-February, depending on weather.

The City of Eden Prairie's outdoor skating rinks open late December and close mid-February. Rinks are flooded and swept daily.
